I am interested in how sensory inputs from the body contribute to the production and perception of movements.

A focus of my current research is on how the sensory inputs from involuntary movements are integrated in the cerebral cortex. Can we perceive reflexes and how do the reflexive movements influence the production of cortical motor commands?
Even in the absence of overt movements bodily inputs are known to activate the motor area of the cortex: how does the motor cortex process sensory inputs from the body?
My previous research focused on the changes in cortical sensory and motor representations after spinal cord injury.
