My main goals are to optimize sensory-motor learning in children and adults with neurological disorders, to develop outcome measures required for clinical trials and rehabilitation and to evaluate the effectiveness of various rehabilitation interventions, including the clinical application of robots.

My previous research focussed on the development and validation of outcome measures to evaluate clinical trials and rehabilitation in the field of spinal cord injury. My current research continues with outcome research, especially for the field of pediatric neurorehabilitation. In addition, motor learning in children and adolescents and the evaluation of the effectiveness of existing and new active rehabilitation interventions, including the use of rehabilitation robotics, are investigated.
Future projects are focussed on optimizing the rehabilitation process of children and adolescents.
