Reimbursement of Travel Expenses

The ZNZ can reimburse travel expenses of ZNZ Ph.D. students. The following rules apply:

• Costs of transportation and registration fees for congresses, meetings, symposia, workshops or courses can be reimbursed. Economy class flights, 2^nd class railway and public bus/subway journeys (no taxis) will be reimbursed after the trip.
• Only PhD students who are registered at the ZNZ and actively take part in the International PhD Program in Neuroscience can apply. All progress reports have to be submitted on time. Cumulative progress reports over two or more years are not accepted.
• A presentation of the student is required except in the case of courses.
• Max. CHF 1'000.00 will be paid per person per calendar year

• The ZNZ will notify the applicant shortly after the submission of the application form about the decision. To ensure a fair distribution of the funds, preference will be given to students who have not received a grant in the previous year. Students who have benefited from a grant in the previous year will be waitlisted until the deadline.
• For reimbursement we require the original travel tickets (incl. boarding passes) and invoices together with the confirmation from your Institute after the trip.
• Reimbursement claims must be made within three months after the trip. After this period reimbursement cannot be claimed.
• Please use the ZNZ application form and fill it out completely (Word file). Applications will be returned if not complete.
