How to apply

 

Interested persons have two possibilities to apply:

1) file an application via the Life Science Zurich Graduate School (track I)

2) contact ZNZ group leaders of their choice directly to enquire about possible Ph.D. openings and apply directly to group leader (track II).

To ensure equal treatment of track I (recruitment via LSZGS) and track II (direct application to PI) candidates and in accordance with the rules of the LSZGS, as of January 2013 group leaders are required to organize a formal admission interview with their future PhD students if recruited via track II. The interview should be conducted in presence of at least one other PI or faculty member and the supervisor should fill out a short interview protocol (download template) to be submitted together with the registration form.

Students wishing to join the PhD Program are required to register within three months after starting their PhD with the following registration form.

In addition to the research assistantship provided by the ZNZ groups, the ZNZ offers competitive fellowships. All necessary information can be found on this website.
